BenchIQ is a scoring and stats tool for youth hockey teams. A scorekeeper tracks shots, faceoffs, and penalties live from the bench, and everyone on the team sees the results: live scores, box scores, player stats, and season trends.

One adult, usually the manager or a coach, creates the account and sets up the team. They then invite the rest of the staff and parents by email. Accounts are for adults (18+) only.

A team admin sends invites from the app. You get an email with a code, create your account, and you are automatically linked to the team with the role the admin picked (coach, manager, scorekeeper, or parent).

Admins run the team and manage members. Coaches and managers see everything and can help set up games. Scorekeepers can score live games. Parents can follow along and see games and stats. The team admin decides who gets which role.

Not right now. Players appear on the roster with a name, jersey number, and position, but they do not have logins. Parents follow their player from a parent account.

Usually not. On the Import page, paste the link to your team page on your league website. BenchIQ finds your team, schedule, and roster automatically, shows you everything it found, and lets you fix anything before saving. If your league is not supported yet, you can add games manually or connect a calendar feed. Not seeing your league? Tell us which one to add.

The quickest way to find out is to try: paste your team page link on the Import page and BenchIQ tells you right away. Many league sites import automatically and more are on the way. Any league can still connect a calendar feed for schedules. Ask us to add your league.

Run it again. Re-importing is always safe: games and players match up by their league ids, so nothing duplicates. You can also edit names, jersey numbers, and positions during the review step before anything saves.

Yes. Paste any iCal link (SportsEngine, TeamSnap, Crossbar, Google Calendar, and similar) on the Import page and your practices and events show up in the team calendar.

Shots (with location on the rink), faceoffs, goals and assists, and penalties. The app is built for a tablet at the rink, with big targets and fast entry so you can keep up with play.

Events can be corrected. Games go through a review step after the final buzzer, so the scorekeeper or a reviewer can fix anything before the game is finalized.

Stats are entered by people during live games, so small errors happen. They are meant for your team’s own use: tracking development, spotting trends, and celebrating good games. They are not official league statistics.

As little as possible: name, jersey number, position, and game statistics. No contact information, no addresses, no schools. A parent or guardian can choose to add their own child's photo and date of birth; nobody else can, and the parent can remove them at any time.

Yes, at any time. Ask your team admin, or email us and we will remove it within 30 days. privacy@benchiq.app

Only people on your team. Access is controlled by team membership and roles, enforced in our database. We do not sell data or show ads. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
